Sales Agreement

The “Seller”, Dawn Cahoon, and the “Buyer”, ______________________, hereby agree as follows:

1A. The Seller hereby sells to the Buyer, for the amount of $600.00, payment of which is hereby acknowledged, a male/female  AKC Limited Registration German Shepherd puppy, born August 28, 2208 by Sire: Eddie vom Bullinger SchH3 KKla Life, out of Dam: Sasha Woofsy Cahoon, in accordance with the terms of this contract.  Registration with AKC as provided for in this paragraph above shall be Limited.  Limited Registration bars showing or any registration of an offspring of this puppy.  If at any time the Buyer desires to breed the puppy, he/she shall consult with the Seller and if the Seller, in her sole discretion agrees that such breeding would be desirable, the Seller shall contact the AKC registry and obtain the lifting of the “Limited” restriction.

1B. The Seller hereby sells to the Buyer, for the amount of $600.00, payment of which is hereby acknowledged, a male/female  AKC Fully Registered German Shepherd puppy, born August 28, 2208 by Sire: Eddie vom Bullinger SchH3 KKla Life, out of Dam: Sasha Woofsy Cahoon, in accordance with the terms of this contract. Registration with AKC as provided for in this paragraph above shall be Full.  Full Registration allows showing and registration of any offspring of this puppy.  Registration papers will be given to Buyer at pickup.  If Buyer is paying by check the Registration papers will be mailed when check clears.

2. The health and temperament of this dog is excellent to the best of our knowledge and belief at the time of sale. The required vaccinations and wormings are as indicated on the health record. We advise the Buyer however, to have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian of Buyers choice within 72 hours after receipt of the dog. We recommend you take a stool sample with you. If the veterinarian finds the dog to be in poor health, the dog must be immediately returned to us at the expense of Buyer, for a replacement of equal value, unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon in writing. Failure to see a veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup receipt will void all guarantees. No further guarantee is made.

3. The Seller guarantees that the puppy is free of hereditary hip or elbow defects to the best of his/her knowledge.   Should the puppy be diagnosed with a genetic crippling hip or elbow dysplasia within 26 months of age, (confirmed by OFA preliminary report), the dog should be returned to Seller at the expense of the Buyer. No guarantee if the cause is accidental.  We will replace the dog (due to genetic crippling hip/elbow dysplasia) as soon as possible with a replacement puppy of equal value. Should the Buyer prefer to retain the said dog, the Buyer thereby forfeits any replacement, unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon in writing.  The Seller does not assume any additional liability for possible genetic defects in the puppy, and will under no circumstances be responsible for veterinary bills resulting from any such condition. This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser.

4. The puppy (if purchased with full AKC Registration Privileges) shall not be bred unless it shall first:  (1) have been x-rayed and certified clear of hip dysplasia by OFA or other competent individual or organization, (2) have displayed good temperament, nor shall it be bred to a dog who does not meet these same conditions.

5.  The Buyer shall maintain the puppy in good condition, including adherence to a regular immunization schedule, heartworm preventative, good diet, and a clean and safe environment which includes protection from hazards of traffic other animals or children.

7. If at any time in its life the puppy is to be sold or given away, the Buyer shall so notify the Seller and give the Seller first option to take the puppy/dog back.  The Buyer shall not sell or lease the canine, or its offspring (if any), to any pet shop, research laboratory or similar facility. Buyer acknowledges or agrees that any subsequent owner shall be bound by the terms of this contract.

8.  All sales are final and down-payments are non-refundable.  

9.  The $100 cash back offers:  We will give only one reward.  Either for proof of spay/neuter or for proof of completion of dog obedience training course.  We will not honor both. 

The entire agreement between the parties is contained here-in. In the event of a dispute, Snohomish County , Washington will have jurisdiction over the matter.
